You will learn to make Ice Cream bases.  Learn the difference between Gelato & Ice Cream.  Make Ice Cream sandwiches & Baked Alaskan.

Basic Breads Workshop

Rolls, Focaccia, Using Whole Wheat, Swedish Limpa!  For those bakers who want to learn more about yeast breads and learn some little secrets!

It’s Hot – Let’s Grill!

Fire up the grill & let’s sear some meat!  We will grill up a Texas Dr Pepper Rib eye/Bacon Wrapped Shrimp with a jalapeño vinaigrette/Cajun spiced chicken breast & a Poblano sweet & sour sauce, sweet potato salad & Yankee coleslaw.

Let’s learn to use our knife in a commercial kitchen scene and for home kitchen use.  We will practice how to use our knife in a kitchen & prepare a full meal to enjoy afterwards.

Learn the basis, “Stock”, for making a wonderful soup.  Discover how your grandmother and mother made that delicious chicken soup they fed you when you were sick with a cold.

The recreational cooking classes are regularly offered to the public. Courses include hands-on demonstration and preparation, and a three to four hour lesson. Following our format, a group meal is served as part of the evaluation and overview process. Topics include kitchen basics, regional cuisines, holiday menus, and baking and pastry techniques. Our faculty as well as guest chefs provide instruction.

WHAT TO WEAR?
Comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes are strongly advised. Please do NOT wear sleeveless shirts or loose, baggy clothing, as you will be working in a commercial grade kitchen environment and safety is our primary concern.

Cancellation and Reservation Policy

•   Payment must be received 5 days prior to the cooking class.
•   Participants Under the age of 18 must have a parent present.
•   5 participants are required to make a class.
•   You may cancel your reservation for a full refund if you do so at least 5 days before the class.  
•   Cancellations will be non-refundable if made later than 5 days prior to the class.
•   If fewer than 5 people have registered, 5 days before the class, it may be cancelled.
•   In such case, CAA will provide a full refund without any other liability whatsoever.

Gift Certificate Policy

• Gift Certificates are non-refundable.
• All Gift Certificates expire one year after purchase date.
